As part of the Pink October activities, the NGO “Nevo Koncepti” has carried out a series of awareness initiatives in seven municipalities of Kosovo (Prizren, Prishtina, South Mitrovica, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjakova, and Klina), as well as in 28 schools and community spaces.
In cooperation with the Family Medicine Centers, 15 informative meetings were held with women and girls from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups and early detection of breast cancer.
Additionally, in 13 community spaces, a “door-to-door” campaign was organized to distribute informational materials aimed at increasing awareness about women’s health care.
Women identified as needing mammography services received these examinations in the Family Medicine Centers of their respective municipalities, thus contributing to the prevention and early detection of the disease.
