We have held several meetings with the Directorate of Free Legal Aid at the Ministry of Justice to organize a workshop to propose amendments to the law “On State-Guaranteed Free Legal Aid.” We aim to recognize Roma and Egyptian minorities as a specific category under this law, since, currently, not being classified as such, they face difficulties in meeting the documentation requirements to access free legal aid. Eralda Methasani, an expert with extensive experience in public policy, has been contracted to draft the policy in cooperation with the Directorate of Free Legal Aid. This step aims to ensure fairer and more inclusive access to justice for everyone.
