During the month of February, within the framework of the project “Promotion and Realization of the Rights of Roma in Kosovo and Albania,” Nevo Koncepti established 13 self-help groups in five municipalities of Kosovo: Prishtinë, Prizren, Pejë, Mitrovicë, and Gjakovë.
These groups aim to build sustainable structures for the empowerment of women from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities by providing safe spaces for mutual support, experience sharing, and self-organization, with the goal of improving their health, well-being, and social inclusion.
In addition to establishing the groups, activities for economic empowerment through handicrafts were also implemented, aiming to contribute to the financial sustainability of these groups.
