The purpose of this four-day workshop was to draft the Regulation of the Kosovo Parents’ Council (KPK), the foundational document that defines the Council’s functioning, competencies, responsibilities, and working procedures. The process aimed to ensure broad inclusion of MEST officials, parent representatives at national, municipal, and school levels, as well as supporting partners, contributing to the development of a clear, functional document aligned with current legislation. The workshop was carried out through a combination of plenary sessions and group work, where participants engaged in discussions and analysis focused on the organization and functioning of the KPK, its competencies and roles, and the internal procedures and rules guiding the Council’s work. As an outcome, a harmonized draft of the KPK Regulation was developed, which ensures the inclusion of parents from all ethnicities living in Kosovo, especially the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, and which will be finalized following an additional consultation phase with relevant stakeholders. “The main organizer of the workshop is MEST, with financial and organizational support from KFOS (Kosovo Foundation for Open Society).
